MOST POPULAR POSTS - NOV 2019

Here are the most popular posts on this site in November 2019. This site puts the post at the end of the month or the first day of the following month, or so I say. This means that it is very easy to find the most popular posts back to Sept 1, 2016.

The site has a global audience, and on Nov 29, for example, the largest audience is from Russia. Other countries occupy this position on other days, such as Canada, USA, Denmark, Norway, Great Britain, Ukraine, Australia, China, India, France, Netherlands and so on.

So, here are the posts:

1. Climate Change Effects on Wild Salmon: https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/10/ckunate-change-effects-on-salmon.html. I am building a long, long list of links to the subject and will ultimately do a paper on the effects and what we can do about them. Do you know what Peltier Tiles are? Ah well, you just Google them and start coming up with all the things we can do to help salmon by applying their amazing property.

2. Fish Farms Kill Wild Salmonids - fish farms claim they save salmmon and dwindling wild stocks, but this is false, on both counts. Here is a paper from Europe that points this out clearly: https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/04/fish-farms-kill-wild-salmonids-says.html.

3. Trudeau Will Put Fish Farms On-land - Yes, Trudeau made this promise during the election run up. As fish farms send in their high priced help to get Justin to change his mind, we the people, need to send as many letters to him as we can to keep him on course to getting these, as Daniel Pauly, calls them: 'floating pig farms' out of the water: https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/11/trudeau-will-put-fish-farms-on-land-why.html.  This is a major post and all sorts of good points in it. Go read it.

4. Is Mowi Lying? Well, er, Yes:  https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/10/is-mowi-harvest-lying-well-er-yes.html.  You have to read this prospectus for buying Cermaq shares, which also has the same problems as Mowi, to believe what Mowi is saying is true. It's a stinging indictment against itself.

5. Scientists Harassed By Fish Farms, Norwegian Govt - This is the original post I wrote pointing out that fish farm companies go after scientists and shred their careers entirely, if they don't say good things about fish farms in Norway: https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2017/06/scientists-harassed-by-fish-farms.html. You have to read this post to see just how ruthless fish farms are about getting their way. They don't care if they ruin your career. This post includes the Norwegian government, if you can believe it.

6. Cooke Aquaculture A Litany of Complaint - this one goes on and on, listing all the negative things that Cooke has done, and it is a very long list, and since the Cypress collapse in 2017 there are more:  https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2016/04/cooke-aquaculture-typical.html.

7. Salmon Habitat Restoration - Raincoast Conservation Foundaton: https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/11/salmon-habitat-restoration-raincoast.html. My take on saving wild salmon, surprisingly well read.

8. PRV First Nations Sues DFO... Yes, Again, After Winning Twice Before, Yes For A Third Time: https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/11/prv-first-nation-sues-dfo-yes-again.html.
A well read post, particularly by Indigenous peoples.

9. Brett Bundale, 2.6 Million Salmon Die, Fish Farms are not About Jobs and Revenue: https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/11/brett-bundale-26-million-salmon-die.html.
A helpful hand to a news outlet to re-investigate fish farms. Employment has dropped in Atlantic Canada 32% in the past decade.
