Most Popular Posts - September 2019

Here are the top posts in terms of page views in September, 2019 on this site:

1. Lice out of Control - Clayoquot, Nootka Sounds: https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/08/lice-out-of-control-clayoquotnootka.html. Each have been out of control for several years, some sites as high as 50 lice per farmed fish, which spells the end of wild runs in the sound.

2. Fish Farms Kill Wild Salmon - Norwegian Study: https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/04/fish-farms-kill-wild-salmonids-says.html. Don't let fish farms tell you they 'conserve' wild salmon. No, they kill them.

3. DFO/SRKWs/Chinook/Fish Farms - Do Something: https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/09/v-behaviorurldefaultvmlo.html.

4. BAD NEWS BITES: https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/05/bad-news-bites-12th-post-moving-toward.html. Yes, I really have found more than 5,000 problems in the global fish farm/seafood industry in the past four years.

5. DFO’s Public Consultation on the Framework for Aquaculture Risk Management (FARM):
https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/07/dfos-public-consultation-on-framework.html. Yes, DFO is planning on ignoring residents of provinces that hate in-ocean fish farms. They are not on side, though we pay their salaries. This should not happen. If we were able to fire them all just once, they would pay attention to BC et al for the rest of time.

6. 295 On Land Fish Farm Systems - : https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2016/05/152-different-on-land-fish-farm-systems.html. This is the perennial, all time favourite post on this site.

7. Problems, Solutions, Good News: https://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/09/problems-solutions-good-news.html. This post says it all in the fewest words possible. Do go and look at this one, for reference when fish farms and DFO says they want to keep them in the water.

8. DFO Fish Farm Poll - Weird Resultshttps://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/09/dfo-fish-farm-poll-weird-results.html. A self-serving poll that leads DFO to keep fish farms in the water, even though we have been telling them for years that we want them out of the water. This had the most page views in September. The main problem is that the survey has up to 85% of respondents in provinces that don't have oceans and don't have fish farms.

9. The Most Stringent Fish Farm Laws in the Worldhttp://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2013/12/most-stringent-fish-farm-laws-in-world.html. One of the claims that fish farms like to make is that the country they operate in has the most stringent environmental laws in the world regarding aquaculture. It is typical for these claims to be made in many different countries at the same time, hence, the claim is not true as the laws of every country are different.

10 How Bad are Farmed Fish? - Mowi Knows: http://fishfarmnews.blogspot.com/2019/09/how-bad-are-farmed-fish-mowi-knows.html. This has 20 pages of risks.
